A solid surface that handles the harsh chemistry of the lab

G-Lab laboratory worktops are solid, homogeneous compact panels produced by impregnating cellulose layers with phenolic resin and pressing them under high pressure and temperature. Their non-porous surface resists acids, bases and solvents and holds no liquids, stains or microorganisms. They keep their form under heavy use, never swell or warp and are easy to disinfect — which is why they are the first choice of hospital, research and industrial laboratories.

The surface resists dilute and many concentrated acids, bases and organic solvents. Our resistance matrix summarises the results for representative reagents. For very aggressive or long-contact spills we recommend keeping contact time short; for critical applications we provide project-specific testing and a technical datasheet.

Laboratory worktops are commonly produced in 12, 18, 20 and 25 mm thicknesses. We determine the most suitable thickness together based on span, supporting system and load.

Yes. Undermount or top-mount sink seats, tap and socket holes, drip grooves and custom forms are machined on our CNC centres to the millimetre, and the worktop is delivered installation-ready.

The non-porous solid structure holds no liquids or microorganisms and is bacteriostatic. The seamless, joint-free installation leaves no hygiene bridge, and the surface cleans easily with aggressive disinfectants.

Laboratory worktops are usually preferred in neutral tones such as light grey, anthracite and black; other colours from the broad Gülmar decor collection can also be applied. We assess the options that suit your project together.
